Sharon McGinley: "Wonderings"
As a child Sharon McGinley's mother would greet her in the morning saying, "Who are you today dear?", thus encouraging her imagination and laying the foundation for a creative future. She has an active and dramatic dream life and also finds the stories of other peoples lives inspiring. At first glance, one might think that her brilliantly colored paintings, which are inhabited with flying fish, leaping cats and winged beings, to be whimsical, but often the subject matter is of a more serious nature: earthquakes, fires and cycles of life and death.
