Friends—the fate of the Narberth Avenue bridge will be decided tonight at 7:30 by the Narberth Borough Council. Come to the meeting at Borough Hall to let the Borough Council know that the decision to repair the bridge now, and not in 3-5 years, is the right thing for the community.
The Narberth Borough Council has received recommendations from the engineer firm and will vote tonight on whether to fix the bridge or to keep it closed quite possibly until 2017.
Many of you wrote to Borough Council last month and from what I understand, they listened to how important it is for our businesses and for you to be able to drive over the bridge into town. The bridge is essential in keeping our downtown vibrant and our neighbors connected.

Long term, we can plan to increase awareness and pursue marketing campaigns when we know the bridge is finally closing for replacement. In the meantime we have to keep Rockland Ave in mind and know that things don't always go as scheduled.
