Top 5 of the Week: MAKERS CELEBRATE!

In the Store:  Now you can turn on your lights with creativity!  This Planetary Gear LIght Switch Plate is completely functional -- the levered handle moves Planetary around, turning on and off the lights. Stop by to see the full line of switch plate covers made by GreenTree.

In the Studio:  Our young creators had a blast at Sweet Mabel's Found Object Summer Camp -- so much fun that we've been asked to add after school classes.  Join our email list and stay tuned for more information.  And check out some of their creations on our Facebook page.

In the Neighborhood:  Makers and creators of all kinds will be gathered tomorrow, August 17, from 10-2 at the Free Library of Philadelphia's Maker Celebration.  Celebrate the maker movement and participate in the Connected Message, a digital and physical mural-building project that celebrates Philly.

In the Arts Community:   Part science fair, part country fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students and commercial exhibitors.  All of these "makers" come to show what they have made and share what they have learned.

In Your Home:  Local teen Jacob Noel built a 3D printer and created this vase!  What can you do?
